Shawn was off buying his new Austin home, so Jim Kukral jumped in to help me co-host this week’s show. As always Jim did a great job. Thanks, Jim!

We had some audio problems early on. Ok, it was me. So, I cut out most of the bad part. You might have to suffer through about 30 seconds or so. I was going to put all the bad sound at the end of the show (as Shawn suggested) but decided not to since you really only missed the part about Bryan Eisenberg keynoting Affiliate Summit.

Here’s what we talked about this week:

•	Shawn bought a house in Austin
•	Rae “Sugarrae” Hoffman-Dolan SEO Boot Camp at Affiliate Summit
•	Many get the Google slap
•	Experts and Unguru.com
•	Lisa Picarille and consulting
•	Jim’s online video toolkit
•	Bass fishing
We had some audio problems early on. Ok, it was me. So, I cut out most of the bad part. You might have to suffer through about 30 seconds or so. I was going to put all the bad sound at the end of the show (as Shawn suggested) but decided not to since you really only missed the part about Bryan Eisenberg (http://blog.affiliatetip.com/archives/bryan-eisenberg-to-keynote-affiliate-summit-east-2011/) keynoting Affiliate Summit.

Here’s what we talked about this week:

•	Shawn bought a house (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?fbid=10150109677294204&id=504429203&aid=287573) in Austin

For this episode we looked ahead to 2011 – trends, challenges and what to expect.

Karen Garcia joined host Lisa Picarille.

Karen is co-founder and CEO at GTO Management, an outsourced affiliate program management company. Karen has ten years of experience in e-commerce and marketing. Beginning in 1999, Karen successfully developed and managed the affiliate program for Shari’s Berries.

We kicked off the discussion talking about trends for the coming year including mobile and video. We then discussed the growing importance of self-regulation in the industry and the prospect of more government regulation – especially with regard to privacy concerns; how couponing will evolve in 2011 and what the means for affiliates and merchants; the continued adoption (and backlash) for social media; changes in search over the next 12 months; the rise of Facebook stores; the role of the networks in the coming year and more.
