RedHatBlueHat 7: Weasley Clark

by Shawn Collins on July 3, 2008

The seventh installment of RedHatBlueHat featured Tim Jones, Shawn Collins, Mike Allen, and Sam Harrelson.

I've Got Disgust... for ObamaThe show kicks off with an excerpt of Shawn’s hot new song, “I’ve Got Disgust… for Obama,” a response to “I’ve Got a Crush… on Obama” by Obama Girl.

Then we got into the serious business in discussing how Rush Limbaugh and Clear Channel’s Premiere Radio Networks have agreed to a contract extension that will pay him more than $400 million through 2016.

Sort of harmonious banter, so we moved on to the current state of the market and whether
US Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson is correct in predicting that the U.S. economy will strengthen by the end of the year.

I think we all pretty much agreed that ethanol isn’t the future of our energy crisis, but that’s about the end of the agreement. Can McCain or Obama get gas prices down?

Then on to the escalating tensions with Israel and Iran. We discusses whether it will be WWIII, a diplomatic solution, or a strategic strike by Israel without a response from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and company.

Is the McCain campaign staff out of touch with the online and grassroots crowds. We get to that, too.

How about the recent comments by Wesley Clark, prospective VP pick for Obama?

“He hasn’t held executive responsibility. That large squadron in the Navy that he commanded — that wasn’t a wartime squadron. I don’t think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president.”

We had some disagreement on whether Clark was acting as an Obama attack dog or maybe an agent of chaos on behalf of Team Clinton.

The show winds up with some contentious talk of privacy and fighting terrorists.

Episode 7 runs 85 patriotic minutes.

Just cant let the Clark as VP thing go can you, Shawn? There's as much chance of that happening as there is of McCain getting elected in Nov.

Obama has displayed poor judgement before, and he seems to have affection for people that make “inartful” comments.

If Clark weren't such a Clinton operative, you might have a point. But as
with most of your political assessments, I'm going to have to bring out the
        fail stamp.

So was the Obama stop in “Unity”, New Hampshire just a charade?

I saw on July 5 that he'll be going to Infighting, ND.

          • http://www.costpernews.com Sam Harrelson

What does the Unity, NH thing have to do with your obsession of Clark being
            Obama's VP?

BTW, Fox News just reported that McCain is going to be in C*nt, PA next
            week.

          • http://blog.affiliatetip.com Shawn Collins

Just pointing out the irony of him appearing in “Unity” when you see Clark as a “Clinton operative,” instead of just a Democrat.

And it's your mainstream media that seems to have the obsession with him.

Clark and his ilk bring me depression, not obsession.
