This is the inaugural episode of the ongoing weekly political podcast RedHatBlueHat featuring Todd Crawford, Tim Jones, Shawn Collins, Mike Allen and Sam Harrelson.
This week, we covered the seeming inevitability of the Obama victory in the Democratic nomination process and what that means in a race versus John McCain.
The discussion gets heated at points and covers the Edwards endorsement of Obama, both Obama v Hillary and Obama v McCain, deliverance of purple states, a Mississippi surprise, Rev Wright, the War on Terror and Bush’s spending habits.
The sound quality is off this week, but we’ll be back next week with a dedicated line and a much better sound.
Episode 1 runs about 50 minutes and features Shawn’s favorite song.

The sound quality is about is clear as Obama's vision.
Maybe we should take turns writing the descriptions of the shows, so they are fair and balanced.
And what happened to closing with your Dixie Chicks song?
Love the intro song – brought tears to my eyes.
Seesmic video reply from Disqus.
Maybe if you included stuff like our chats about the intellectual dishonesty in perpetuating the “Bush lied” fairy tale, as well as the do nothing congress of Nancy Pelosi.
Just trying to bring things into the center before MoveOn.org tries to sponsor the show.
Shawn picked the music, didn't he?
“The church might be a whore, but she's still your mother” that's a good one – but I don't think my super conservative Roman Catholic in-laws would appreciate that.
Good stuff in general – it was interesting.
