Is the media scaring you about the recession the country may face or is facing now? Have a strategy in place if your business (affiliate programs, etc) seem to be declining or could decline because of financial insecurities? Is there a need or want for the product you are marketing?

These are all factors we have to look at and the one major factor we have to look at as online marketers is how peoples behavior will change in the coming months to position ourselves to build and create successful campaigns.

Great to have you on board, Pablo!

I’ve been wondering about the inevitable effects of the coming (existing?) recession on online and affiliate marketing.

Shawn has some interesting thoughts on blog.affiliatetip.com about affiliate marketing being recession proof, but I think we definitely need to take notice of the macroeconomic trends as they will definitely affect payouts, variety of offers, etc.

Big Zazzle fan as well, so glad to hear your thoughts on that.

Again, nice job and keep it up!

    Hi Sam,

Thanks for your comment and very happy to be on board. Hopefully this site will build a nice community of online marketing podcaster and online marketing listeners.

I think its an interesting time to pay attention to certain changes that may come about in the next weeks or months.

Danny Sullivan had an interesting view on the recession and search marketing today on the daily search cast so everyone has their opinion but we’ll see how it plays out.
