Keep Your Shirt On, What We Want From a Webinar

by Lisa Picarille on July 8, 2013

It appears that co-hosts Lisa Picarille and Todd Farmer have both emerged from the Fourth of July weekend with all their fingers and limbs intact. Seems Todd is a bit of pyro and he talked about how fireworks are now legal in Michigan so he was eager to take advantage of that. Lisa is more of a sparkler gal. And besides, fireworks are illegal in San Francisco County. Lisa is no outlaw.

Todd spent his 4th of July at Pretty Lake. Todd spent his 4th of July at Pretty Lake.

Lisa and Todd also discussed the role/importance of mastermind groups and how Lisa’s two previous groups have sort of gradually dissipated, so she’s got a new mastermind group starting this week. Todd advised about setting the ground rules and expectations right off the bat. Todd knows a thing or two about successful mastermind groups. Here’s a panel he was on with Tricia Meyer and Eric Nagel at Affiliate Summit.

The co-hosts also gave a huge shout out to Joe Sousa, Congrats on his new full-time job at Fanatics. Joe and his wonderful family moved from Spokane across the country to Jacksonville, FL. Thankfully, Joe’s boss is Wade Tonkin, who has already gone out of his way to welcome the Sousa’s. Plus, Wade is also a Washington State transplant – hailing from the Seattle area. It’s a huge change for Joe and his family and we wish them the best. Hopefully, Joe will continue to post on his blog.

The meat of show was devoted to talking about Webinars. Todd prefers the tactical webinars, where authorities are using the webinars as a vehicle to educate. No bullshit or sales pitches though. Lisa enjoys the webinars that take a high-level view on issues and trends. Both agreed there are lots of great webinars out there. So many webinars, so little time.

Also, a tip of the hat to James Thompson of Passive Metrics, he immediately knew that the sexy voice of our Crock Pot disclaimer was the infamous Eric Nagel. https://www.facebook.com/esnagel
