Thanks for pointing out my blog. I would just like to note that I did make a mistake a few years ago by not attaching my blog to the “personalbrandingblog.com” domain. I was a novice back then, but still gave people the right advice. There isn't anything wrong with a “.typepad.com” or a “.wordpress.com.” It depends on what you're comfortable using and your goals.
In January I'll be launching a new version of my blog under it's own domain. I just wanted to clarify!
Hey Dan -
I don't think anything is wrong with the various hosted blog options, but it is typically not a long term solution for anybody.
So, I think it's key to start a blog on your own domain, so you don't have to deal with trying to migrate the traffic down the road.
I learned that lesson back in 2004 when I thought it was a good idea to use Blogger.
Then I installed Movable Type and used it for a while. Ultimately, I ended up with WordPress, and I love the flexibility and usability.
I'm #1 tweeter in San Leandro… alert the media.
Hey I’ve received a lot of positive feedback from the quotes I tweet. They mean something to me so I thought I’d share. Maybe I should quote you guys? There must be some good one out there.
