GeekCast 19: Overstocking the Geek Pond

by Shawn Collins on May 20, 2008

This week the GeekCast Gang of Lisa Picarille, Shawn Collins, Jim Kukral and Sam Harrelson discuss the Overstock and NY state affiliate tax situation for half of the 90 minute show. The cast gives their impression of Overstock’s actions, how their actions might or might not affect other merchants and their suggestions for how they’d do damage control for Overstock.

The following segments include the normal GeekCast randomness combined with analysis of OpenX’s ad server, Google Health, putting nuts in Cokes, brand evangelists and Twitter’s downtime (again).

Overall, this ranks as the best GeekCast on record for depth of analysis as well as breadth of topics.

The show runs about 90 valuable minutes.

I wish I had sound on this computer, it's my 100% business comp and I turned the sound off long ago when I noticed I lost a little business toughness every time someone wispered sweet nothings at me.

Maybe I should turn it back on, you know, just for the Geeks!
