Jim Kukral rejoins GeekCast this week along with Lisa Picarille, Shawn Collins and Sam Harrelson as the group does an early morning episode.
The group addresses the TwitterMeThis controversy and explains the how’s and why’s behind the situation for the first part of the show.
After sorting things out, there is a discussion of Twitter’s downtime and the best ways to use Twitter (when it’s working properly). Since this week is the Web2.0 Expo, Sam and Lisa give a rundown of the event and what to expect from their panel at the show.
The show also hits on Joel Comm’s troubles, affiliates’ troubles in NY state, conference talk, Gary Vaynerchuk’s wine meetup’s, Facebook spam, and the breakdown of public education in the US. As always, there’s a little political banter as well.
At the end, Shawn reveals the incredible ReTweet video that he and Jim made in San Antonio (not to be missed).

I am so glad you guys made up. All is well with the Internet now (except for twitter). Hey, Jim did you ruin twitter? Please unruin it.
I am somewhat disturbed by that hand holding pic…
Jim looks like he’s smiling a little too happily…
Shawn – Twitter does have a Jabber/GTalk plugin it’s @ http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/downloads/detail.php?item=313.
I also agree with Lisa – sleeping on a plane is the way to go. It’s the best way to combat the nerves of flying. And that sky rest pillow just looks obnoxious…
Thanks TrishaLyn – I’ll give that a shot.
I joined the SkyMall affiliate program on Linkhare yesterday, so I can start making some coin on those SkyRest pillows.
You know you want one!
I’m SO HAPPY!!! I have no idea why it upset me so to see you guys ‘fighting’ – but, I’m so happy it wasn’t really true. There was a part of me that thought that it was a ruse, but, there was a bigger part of me that was really bummed ya’ll were ‘breaking up’.
Interesting experiment, for sure.
Yeah, it was so hard for me to be a “jerk” even to Jim. I’m glad it’s over so that I can go back to being myself and not letting Jim get all the “good guy” kudos
