[...] GeekCast 10 - hilarious as usual. Word directly from Shawn is that ASW09 is going to be in Las Vegas again…usually gets about 75% of the vote. Personally, I voted San Diego. Meh. [...]

Thanks to TrisaLyn for this link: http://adwords.blogspot.com/2008/02/update-to-display-url-policy.html

So I guess it's not an issue unless you are sending the traffic to an affiliate link via AdWords.

Sending it to your own site will be acceptable.

I wonder if more affiliate networks will start offering direct link options?

I didn't hear about this Google announcement and can't find anything. What did they say about redirects?

Hilarious show as always peeps - just a note regarding masking affiliate links.

Shawn & Jim briefly mentioned masking affiliate links. I'm curious to know what you guys think of Google's new announcement that they're going to enforce their redirecting policies?

I figured there must be something we were missing with the eBay and Squidoo thing. :-)

This is great! First time I've listened to one of your podcasts - I enjoyed it very much!

Quick note about Squidoo. You wondered why someone would use the eBay option on their Squidoo page....

Squidoo shares the revenue a lensmaster (ie, Squidoo page creator) 50/50. So if you make a sale from your Squidoo page, you would get half the commission generated. Same with the Amazon tool offered as well as many other money making modules.

Many lensmasters take advantage of this, and others (like myself) simply use their own affiliate code.

Squidoo is a nifty 'little' site....over 800,000 pages indexed in Google and a very large amount of individual contributors to the site. This makes Squidoo a powerful resource for the eBay affiliate program from both commissions generated by the Squidoo eBay account AND traffic generated to eBay.

Squidoo is a great place for those new to this whole affiliate marketing thing to learn...and those that are more seasoned definitely know how to harness the power ;)

Again, GREAT podcast...Thank You. I've sent my readers over to visit.
