Welcome to the Performance Marketing Association Industry Report, a podcast dedicated to the most pressing issues impacting advertisers, publishers, networks and agencies. This time around we discussed datafeeds.

Lisa Picarille was the moderator and was joined by Kristen Grace and Mitch Gibbs.

Kristen is the Affiliate Marketing Manager for two of the largest online costume and party retailers; BuyCostumes.com and the Celebrate Express family of brands. She is responsible for overseeing and managing the strategy between highly seasonal and year round brands. She has been in the affiliate marketing space since 2004.

Mitch Gibbs is the Director of Partner Integration at Ebates. He has worked in the online marketing industry for more than 10 years, in areas ranging from database targeting and personalization to email deliverability and campaign management automation.

We began talking about the benefits of datafeeds to affiliates and merchants and then moved into how to implement a datafeed, some of the tools that help with the process of creation and management, what needs to be included; if datafeeds should be standardized, the challenges of standardization, what the PMA working group on datafeeds is looking to achieve and much more.

Some pretty good info but you guys forgot to mention the best datafeeds (and datafeed scripts) in Affiliate marketing from AvantLink.com. I have seen quality and standardized feeds from them for several years. You should follow their standard because no one else comes close.
