Shawn Collins was away this week, so the fort was held down by Lisa Picarille, Jim Kukral and Sam Harrelson. Things got off to a good start before resuming the show’s normal banter covering tech news, personal issues and all things geek marketing.

Show Notes:
- Jim Goes to the ERA
- Shawn and Missy Get Kindles, Hell Freezes Over
- Facebook Changes Are Coming
- Token Twitter Conversation

Episode 54 runs a busy and short 51 minutes. Stay tuned for details on how you can get a second Episode 54 FOR FREE!

OK, here's the post-game of corrections for this episode…

    1. It was only the first 10 minutes missed on the Affiliate Thing recording this week. Hey Podcast Harrelson, when are you getting up the episode of Red Hat, Blue Hat that you recorded last fall?

    2. My TV doesn't go to the View. It's tuned weekdays to Fox & Friends until 9am, at which time it moves on over to channel 11 in NYC (WPIX) for Maury at 9, Maury at 10, and Jerry at 11.

    3. I never made fun of the Kindle, because it was the cool thing to do. I did it because I thought it was goofy (I still do). My interest in getting it is to see first hand how it can be used to market FeedFront and my RSS feeds (thanks Lisa). It's not the iPod of books, and it's still a device far from being mainstream – never will be unless it's 75% less in price.

    4. As far as hating on the name Cast of Geeks, let's review what you guys came up with when I asked for ideas…

Jim – CastGeek Show, GastCeek show
    Lisa –
Sam – GeekCrew, GeekCast.fm Show (that includes the name we needed to move away from)

I'd be happy to have a vote from the listening public of Cast of Geeks vs. these stellar names, plus Jim's Geekigan Island.

I vote for renaming the show to GeekCastic. :)

    How about KindleLoversAnonymous?

But seriously, how about Geek Marketers (I quit marketing, but I'll still participate since I'm still marketing)?
