Appreciate the fair interpretation of my article.
I’m glad you pointed out the difference between general affiliate marketing and CPA, which I think the Top 10 Women article completely misinterprets and neglects to mention. They are two very different segments of appeal, with very different demographics.
As far as Affiliate Summit Central 2012, yes, we’ll have somewhere around 350 and a scaled down Meet Market.
In addition to trying out Austin, we wanted to run a smaller Affiliate Summit to test some things.
The nightlife is certainly different from NYC or Vegas, but the Hilton is right near 6th Street, which is the happening area. It’s good any night, but should be even better that week, because it’s the end of the year at the University of Texas then.
No shortage of restaurant and trailer options for foodies.
Stay tuned for something I’m putting together on Pinterest as a guide to Austin for people coming in for Affiliate Summit.
Also, there is ShareASale ThinkTank in Austin right after Affiliate Summit: http://shareasale.com/thinktank/2012/index.cfm
Setting up an affiliate program could be right for you. What is it?
Essentially, when you want to build an affiliate program around your
product line… the idea is to get affiliate marketers to resell your
products through their websites or networks. If all done correctly, this
can be great for any business. You are basically building a sales force
that works on commission.
