My co-host Shawn Collins, who rarely misses show, was away on business this week. Filling in for Shawn is the fabulous Scott Jangro, super affiliate and president of MechMedia.
Scott has been on the show many times as both a guest and a co-host. I was delighted he could sit in with me on such short notice.
Of course, Scott and I talked about the death of Michael Jackson. Last week Shawn had a blog post urging affiliates to be sure to update their sites to include Amazon and iTunes links for all of Michael recordings.
Scott said his costume site is selling MJ costumes like crazy since the death of The King of Pop.

Here are some of the other topics we chatted about:
- The winners of the 2009 LinkShare Golden Link Awards
- Jangro and Joan Rivers share a moment
- Commission Junction Goes Green
- Parties at Affiliate Convention got mixed reviews -Melissa Salas of Buy.com tweeted about it
- Amazon is ending its relationship with affiliates in Hawaii, Rhode Island, and NC. Is California Next?
- Scott Jangro wrote a letter to his senator and state representatives trying to get ahead of any potential tax in Mass.
- 20 useful WordPress plug-ins

Scott, the person is from Toshiba that used to work for Keycode
Great show Lisa and Scott. As you guys I love WP plug-ins, but there is limit to how many you should have.
Scott I commend you for getting ahead of the game on this affiliate tax, seems like a lot of people think is not going to affect them, in reality it may soon affect all of us.
PS Also, Shawn needs to change the download to read 712009.mp3 instead of 53009.mps, it took me some time to find it the right episode on my computer.
I was pretending I was in May when I named the file.
Why not get it through iTunes – you're not a Zune guy, are you?
Nope not a Zune guy and I can't stand iTunes, so I just download everything.
