This week on the Affiliate Thing podcast, Shawn Collins and Lisa Picarille were joined by Daniel M. Clark, Sam Harrelson, and Jim Kukral for a sort of reunion of the old GeekCast podcast that went dark a few years ago.
We talked about the iPhone 4S, what Sam has been doing in the years since he walked away from affiliate marketing, Shareist, and the Kindle Fire.
Also discussed were the passing of Steve Jobs, Occupy Wall Street, Affiliate Summit West 2012, time-shifted TV watching, and hot dogs at Tiger Woods.

I sure do wonder who the twitter student was
I actually moved from WordPress.com to Tumblr, from Tumblr to WordPress.com, and then from WordPress.com to a hosted WordPress.org account @ LivingDot. Thanks for the mention, y’all. Great podcast.
I can’t believe we went nearly two hours – that’s one of the longest shows I’ve done in quite a long time, I think! Thanks for including me, that was a lot of fun!
I didn’t want to mention your name, in case you didn’t want to be thrust on this huge, international stage.
Time went fast – lots of fun chatting with everybody. Thanks for joining the party.
Yes indeed Vinny and I listened all the way through… Awesome to eaves drop on you guys for a couple hours. Can’t believe some of the people Sam brought up though, almost had to turn the audio off….
You didn’t mention that Affiliate Summit has a new forum that Sam should check out
Now he knows – http://forum.affiliatesummit.com/
The Spider! Wow, I haven’t thought about that in a while. Revenue mag was one of my first peeks into what the affiliate industry was doing. I was steeped in adserving tech at the time.
Good to hear the whole gang back.
2 hours? No abbreviated version?
Great show. Let’s do it again next Columbus day.
You can listen to it in 15 minute chunks.
That might be too soon.
@Shawn: Thanks for respecting my privacy on that. I generally don’t mind since GeekCast.fm and the Affiliate Summit Group sites are ones that I can trust, especially since @samharrelson is close with you guys. You’re welcome to provide links to my blog/twitter account in the future
.
Thanks for the mention. What a great podcast.
Devin
One of my favorite parts of the show (besides of course, me being mentioned), was Jim saying “Rackspace blows.”. They have the best service, but are overpriced (for a student like me, at least.)
Was nice to hear Sam Harrelson again – was a nice chunk of long form content to get me through a slow project.
